TVLAF Members

The Tees Valley Local Access Forum has members with wide ranging experience and interests.

The first group represents land owners and managers, the second group represents people who use the countryside for recreation and the third group represents people with 'Other interests' and these include members who work in the forestry or tourism industry for example.

In appointing new members, the local authorities will seek to ensure that a balance of all relevant interests exists in the membership. Each Local Authority or Appointing Authority also nominates an elected member to attend Forum meetings.

Interested in becoming a member?

Perhaps you are interested in becoming a member? We are seeking applications for membership of the Forum, from people of all ages who are interested in improving access to the countryside and coast.

You might be interested in nature conservation, heritage, tourism, perhaps you run a business in the countryside, or are interested in the health aspects of countryside access. If you are, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Those on the Forum give their time on a voluntary basis, but mileage expenses and 'out of pocket' expenses, such as car parking are paid.

If you are interested in becoming a member, please contact the Development Officer, Leanne Thompson on (01429) 523857, or email
